Here we go again, another long delayed post. It's not like anyone reads my blog, but I'm gonna post anyways. :)

Now, how long have I been gone? Oh, a month and a half. Right.. Um, I'm not gonna go into exact details 'cuz it's just gonna be extremely long winded.

1.) Went back for a vacation in Indonesia for an amazing week. Did nothing but eat and play. Absolutely LOVE it! =)

2.) September kicked off, and attended my beloved Tasha's 18th birthday at Warren Golf & Country Club at Choa Chu Kang. Couldn't really clique well with the people who were there. Thankfully John came along. Hitched a rather short but long ride back to the bus stop after the party and took a straight bus home, and crashed to bed immediately after a rainy and lethargic day. Thanks Esther! =D

3.) New semester began about a month ago. I'm glad I have two of the best lecturers in SMa I could ever begged for: Frankie Yee and Piya Chee. Lectures have never been so interesting until this trimester. Just submitted my first assignment on Monday. =)

4.) Went for GCA 2008 (Games Convention Asia) over at Suntec City about a couple of weeks back, and got to try out the brand new installment of the NFS series - NFS Undercover. After the convention, met up with my bro for lunch, and off we went to another convention: Super Imports Night at Expo. It's been a while since I've attended an automotive exhibition. 3 years back to be precise. Despite the over-excessive displays of about 20 or so Nissan GT-R's, there were a few which caught my eyes, with Bentley's Continental models, BMW M6, Lamborghini Gallardo Hamann and Murcielago LP640 and a Ferrari 599GTB Fiorrano just to name a few. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't bring in the Maserati. I'd really like to see the MC12. We were treated with some urban street drifting at Expo's parking lot after we've finished roaming in the hall.

5.) Formula 1 - Singapore Grand Prix. One of the best highlights this year, and it happened right on our own backyard! How amazing right? =D

Most of you might not know, but I actually followed F1 before I moved to CCK, 'cuz we didn't have cable. Now that we do, we did not sign up for the Sports Group 'cuz it wasn't cheap as what it used to be 8 years ago. So I kinda lost touch with the sport, until recently. I wasn't kidding when I said I didn't regret NOT buying the tickets, 'cuz I'd rather watch it on TV; it captures every single moment of the race. And the commentators are of good help for non-followers like me too, for I would have been lost if they didn't walk through the rules of the Pit Lane closure and etc. If only my assignment was granted another week of extension and declared 26-28 a holiday , I'd have gone over to City Hall last week just for the opportunity to hear the ear-pleasing yet defeaning ~~noise~~ melody of the V8 engines. Watching it on YouTube already gave me chills. It's really an adrenaline pump. I mean, a decade ago, it never came across my mind that F1 could ever take place in such a small country. This is really a major breakthrough. I'm elated. I hope I'll get an opportunity next year.

6.) Went for a community work, giving out rations to the elderly. It was an eye-opener for me; an enriching experience. It makes me appreciate the things that I have now even more. One lesson I learnt from this session: complain less. :)

7.) Isaac's and Eileen's birthday. Went to John's and Marcus' place respectively for the celebrations, although I must say I was more nervous for Eileen's, 'cuz due to 'unforeseen circumstances', all the planning were thrown to me at the very last minute. For what it's worth, I'm glad everything went smoothly. Happy birthday once again you two! =)

So that's my 1 month plus worth of activities. May not seem a lot for a month, but it's been one heck of activities for me. For now, it's back to TV for me. Heroes and Ugly Betty areback for Season 3, Desperate Housewives have desperately geared up for season 4, and Gossip Girl is bitchier than ever. With Survivor, The Amazing Race and The Amazing Race Asia to sum up my list of must watch this October, there's no doubt I'll be well-entertained this month. =)

Countdown begins: 8. If this doesn't suffice, the song will be of a good lure to the clue. Break a leg! =)

"I've just won an Olympic medal!" If it were to be you, you'd already be so damn proud you wouldn't even care less about anything else. The pride and joy of representing your country and setting the mark, it'd just be too much to contain.

"I've just won 5 Olympic gold medals and broken 5 world records in 4 days!" If someone were to disclose that to you, you'd think he is in dreamland or probably drunk or just plain insane. Unless, of course, he bares the nickname of "The Baltimore Bullet".

History has been made today by a man who swims faster than he can walk. This is of a man who has emerged victorious in 5 of the 8 races he has competed in and setting new World Records not only on his lap times, but also for being the first ever athlete to ever win 13 Olympic medals (11 gold, 2 bronze), giving him the most number of Olympic golds ever won by an Olympic athlete of the modern Olympic era.

Mission accomplished, you may say, having won 5-for-5. But no, he is not going to stop there... the Gold Digger is still gunning for more. After all, he still has 3 more events to go. He is set to demolish Mark Spitz's record of 7 Olympic golds in a single Games which has been holding strong for the past 3 decades. Gold medals or not, what the heck. It doesn't really matter anymore. He's made history... an Olympic history. One journey where no athlete has ever gone before. A feat which doesn't usually happen for any typical 23-year-old. Well, maybe just one particular bloke from a small US state of Maryland who just happens to love swimming.

This is the life of arguably the greatest athlete to have ever ~~walked~~ swam on this planet today. An individual who will never ever be forgotten for a very long, long period of time.

To us, he's the winningest athlete in the Olympics, the greatest Olympian to have ever competed in the Summer Games.

But being the humble, soft-spoken person that he is, he just wants to be known as Michael Phelps.

OK, so we're about mid-way through the first week of the Beijing Olympics. Plenty of hi's and lo's.. So what's the 411?

UPS:

Singapore's Tao Li made it to the finals of the 100m Butterfly and finished a respectable fifth, producing a new Asian record timing. No medals, but still a major stepping stone in her swimming career. WELL DONE Tao Li! You are a force to be reckoned with! Schipper, watch out in 2012. Hehe! =)

USA's swim team & the Dolphin Phelps himself.

WOW! Where do I even begin? Let's see.. Dara Torres, a 41-year old Mother who is making her fifth Olympic appearance in Beijing, just won a silver medal in the Women's 4x100 Freestyle Relay. How cool is that!! Ooh! What about the one where Michael Phelps seized the gold medal in the Men's 400m Individual Medley while shedding off 1 second plus off his previously set World Record timing? Or his other gold medal victory in the Men's 200m Freestyle with a new world record perhaps?

No?

OK. What about the most talked about swimming event thus far: the Men's 4x100 Freestyle Relay, where the US swim team (Jones, Phelps, Lezak and Webber-Gale) not only successfully claiming what's rightfully theirs, but also obliterated the field by shedding off 4 seconds off the World Record timing? I think that'll do.

Now count it - 3 GOLD MEDALS for that Dolphin and 5 more to go. He has successfully claimed 3 out of the 8 targeted gold medals that he is aiming for, at the same time not forgetting to stamp his name into the record books, breaking World Record timings for the final events that he's in. I'm so glad I've grounded myself at home to savour all these amazing once in a lifetime moments. Haha! I'm left speechless after watching all the records getting trimmed off JUST like that. They made it look like it's just a walk in the park. Realistically speaking, it's just.... it's just not done. That just goes to show how experienced and agile the American swimmers are. Brilliance at its best. Absolutely unbelievable. *salutes*

Talk about the dream team. Move over LeBron James and co. The US swimmers are the new Dream Team. =)

DOWNS:

Taufik Hidayat (my badminton idol) lost out to Malaysia's Wong Choon Han in the Men's Singles round of 32. That poor dude just recovered from dengue fever which he caught it in Indonesia prior to the Games. I was really, really confident that he was gonna retain his Gold which he claimed at Athens in 2004.

Tau Li's final swim in the Water Cube, not managing to qualify for the semis in the Women's 200m Butterfly.

So Tuesday's a wrap. Let's see what the Water Cube has to offer tomorrow at 10AM, kicking off with the Men's 200m Butterfly Finals. I dare say Michael Phelps will emerge triumphant in this event. No doubt about it. I just wanna know his time.. =)

I see my last update was exactly a month ago. I've been pretty busy with school last month. Now that I'm free, time to post a new entry..

A huge apology to my blog for have I not been updating. Anyways, I've got plenty to talk about.

Firstly, school. I'm finally done with Trimester 2!!!! I felt so relieved after having submitted all my assignments to the school. I felt so much lighter. Had an exam on Friday for GMI, hoping that I'll do well in it 'cuz I only found out the day before that the exam was on that day itself. *smacks forehead* Right now I'm having a study break for 2 weeks before my Communication Research exam next week. After the exam I'm off to sign up for Trimester 3, and hopefully go back to my hometown to spend some time with my family before the next Trimester kicks off. =)

Secondly, HAPPY 43rd BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE! This year I managed to catch NDP on TV, something which I didn't get to do last year as I was back in Indonesia during the August period. It's kinda unlucky that National Day this year fell right after the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. The Opening Ceremony was absolutely spectacular! NDP kinda turned me off this year after watching all the cool stuff that were involved in the Opening Ceremony, including the fireworks display. It was nowhere near comparison, that's all I can make out of it. There was one act which I liked though, and that was when there were these bunch of overseas kids performing on stage. Their parents have descended from other countries and decided to make Singapore their homeland. I believe this is NDP's first on this act, and I'm delighted. Kudos to Nathan Hartono too for pledging his allegiance to Singapore.. I think he's almost in the same shoe as I am, just that he was born in Singapore to Indonesian parents, which means he has to go for NS. LOL! =p

Lastly, BEIJING OLYMPICS!!! It's been 4 years since the Athens Games. Looks like I'll be grounding myself at home for the next few days or so.. Thanks to StarHub, they have allocated 6 dedicated channels to broadcast all the Olympic actions 24/7 for the next two weeks. Lucky for us, Beijing's local time is also GMT+8, which is the same in Singapore. Which means I don't have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to watch the events LIVE. Haha! Anyways, it's been so distracting lately for these few weeks with the coming Olympic related events that have and will be happening, especially with the recent visit from the US Olympic Swim Team last week for training sessions at the SICC (Singapore Island Country Club) prior to the Summer Games. Reason was to get the athletes to acclimatize with the Beijing's weather as Singapore would be as humid and heaty; a typical weather the athletes will have to get used to. (BTW, Singapore was friggin' hot last week. Thank God it's been raining recently) Household swimmers such as Natalie Coughlin, Amanda Beard and the oh-so-famous Michael Phelps were in town. I was a little bummed out that I didn't get a chance to meet them in person. It'd be such an honour if that were to happen to me. Now that the Olympics have finally began, I'm even more hooked to the TV. Swimming will be the main sport I'll be watching most. My support goes out to the US Team. I hope they'll trash Australia with the relays and other disciplines. Phelps just broke the world record for the Men's 4x100 I.M. finals and clinched the gold medal. I wonder if he'll achieve his goal of 7 gold medals in a single Olympic. Guess I'll have to keep watching.. I hope that local swimmer Tao Li will do well and bring back home a medal for Singapore. =)

Well, that's all for now.. Time to study a little before the next swimming event at 6.30 P.M tonight. =D

catching the zzzzz's

It's past 1AM now. My eyes are getting heavy and my bed is trying reel me onto it. But the internet has been such a great companion it's so hard to let go. So instead of doing nothing, why not blog? It's not the most productive thing to do, but still something. LOL! =)

My relatives from my Dad's family came over for a visit this week, along with her daughter. This was the first time this year that we actually met twice. Usually it's only once 'cuz my brother and I rarely fly back to our homeland due to schedule clash. Met them daily for the past 4 days to show them around Singapore and accompanied them for dinner, fetching them from HarbourFront ferry port on the first day. They departed back to Jakarta this morning. I'm feeling quite sad that their stay was shorter than I expected. I actually liked the fact that my relatives are in town. Their companionship makes me feel much closer to home, and I can have someone to talk to should there be doubts or troubles I face in the near future. After all, they are still part of my family. Sigh! If only this could be permanent. I guess it's something that is never going to happen.. My only source of family support here even has doubts on me. No offence, but I can't always rely on him too much for advise, even though we're very much 'closely' related. C'est la vie, one might say? Well, I beg to differ.. =|

OK, too much thinking in one evening. Time to sleep it off and start the day fresh this morning. Got plenty to complete within this few weeks. Alrigthy peeps! It's a wrap! Time to catch some Zzzz's.

I was just listening back to some of Enya's old songs, and somehow Orinoco Flow had me. So I decided to YouTube it, and I found a group of woman vocalists, Celtic Women. They did a cover of Enya's Orinoco Flow, which was released 2 decades ago.

THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB!! Here's the video to prove it. The orchestra band did a great job too! I am impressed. =)

Well, it's finally July. My current semester is finally drawing to an end in about four weeks' time, and I can't wait for it, 'cuz I'm in need of holidays now. I'm mentally exhausted from all the essays and assignments, I'm going bonkers. I can't even think properly now.. Haha! This is horribly bad. =p

Anyways, went out with KC yesterday after school and we played some bowling at Marina Square since there wasn't really anything much to do on a Friday afternoon in Singapore. Hmmm, interesting game though. We managed to score about 100+ in the first game. In the second game, both of us got 100+ in scores, when combined. LOL! I think our hands weren't exactly used to lifting 10lbs of weight and throwing it across the floor. It's been ages since we last played bowling. Hee! We had fun anyways.. =)

Zoo, clubbing, JJ Lin's concert - Wrapping June Up! :)

A thousand apologies for haven't been updating my blog this month. It's been one heck of a muddled week full of tutorials and the never-ending assignments that are sucking the life outta me. At times I'd like to think that if this blog were a person, I'd probably have to constantly apologise to it 'cuz I've neglected it sooo much to the point that I even forget that I had a blog in the first place. Hahahahaha!! =p

Anyways, I don't wish to make this entry long, so I won't exactly be writing in full details. So, here we go:

1st week of June:

OK. So on Monday I had an outing with only the guys (rare occasion, since when we're out we'd have girls coming along as well). I went to the zoo with Isaac, KC, Maki and Marcus. It really brought back good memories. I still remembered visiting the zoo about 9 years back with my family when I was still in primary school. I must say quite a lot has changed. All of us ended up paying $5 extra for the tram ride, which we found to be quite a waste after we got out of the zoo, since most of the time we were busy walking trying to snap pictures of the animals there. Not gonna elaborate what went on between us, but boy was it a memorable outing... HONESTLY; the pictures speak for themselves. LOL! =D

On Thursday, KC and I went to the Science Centre, just for the sake of going. LOL! Honestly, that was one outing I found to be worth the money, 'cuz I haven't been there before in all my years I've spent in SG. Saw plenty of interesting stuff over there. I'm sure KC had a memorable time there too! Brought out the child in us. We met up with John for dinner after, and went home. =)

Then on Friday, I went to KC's place to chill after school with Isaac until evening time. Met up with John up during dinner, and after we're done with it, we were off to................ CLUBBING!! Yes, it was my first visit to a club. Since this was my first time clubbing, I let the guys decide on which club to go. They debated a little, but in the end they decided to go Dbl O. And so we did. Oh YA! We got a free entrance too! All thanks to KC for informing us about it! Club entries are not cheap. So we got there at about 2130. Unfortunately, club events doesn't happen until really late at night. So since we already got a free entrance, we decided to go out for a little guy chat at a hawker centre nearby before going back in again at 11PM. During the time spent at the hawker I was busy looking at the road for nice cars... I was truly amazed. We saw a Ferrari F430 drove by us, leaving us with a sweet sound coming from the exhausts, and also plenty of Porsches, including the Carrera S. All the rich asses. =p

So anyways, we got back in the club, and there were more people now. We had a hard time trying to find a spot to sit while waiting for the dance competition begun as all the seats were all reserved. So we just had to stand up for an agonising 2 hours just to watch some dancers strut their stuff. I wasn't exactly that impressed 'cuz I've seen better dancers than them. So after all the dance and all, the dancefloor was finally opened to the clubbers. So all 4 of us danced the night off. I had a blast! I got home only at 4 in the morning! I got up at 3.30 in the afternoon on that day. I was too exhausted. I've never partied that hard before. LOL!!

2nd week of June:

Nothing much happened this week. Only had a day of lecture on Wednesday and that was it. Had the rest of the days all to myself at home. Good time to rest. =)

Then there was Father's Day. Once again, couldn't celebrate the occasion, so I just text my Dad and greeted him. =)

3rd week of June:

Marcus, John and I went for a lunch date with Mrs on Friday, along with Ms Sarah. Our last outing with Mrs Jamie was about a year ago, so it was a good time to catch up with one another on our happenings. We had a great lunch at a Japansese foodcourt at Raffles City. Thanks again, Mrs Jamie! =)

On the same week, our clique went to Westside Anglican Church to watch JJ Lin perform. Was my first time seeing him physically. I've only seen him on TV ads most of the time. I was surprised with his singing. He turns out to be a great singer after all! And he's a local!! Haha! Anyways, he composed quite a few song that he sang on Saturday, and they're beautiful. Thanks for the tix, KC! =)

On Sunday, the rest of the clique went to celebrate Maki's belated birthday. Sorry i couldn't be there guys!! Hope you guys had fun!!

4th week of June:

Had a game of badminton yesterday evening with the two couples and myself. Though the games went faster than usual due to time constraint, we managed to have fun anyways. Thanks for coming along guys! =)

Well, that wraps up my June entry. Turned out to be a long post anyway. Hahaha! I will try my very best to keep this blog as updated as possible, whenever I can. =)

First of all, just wanna say that Oasis was fun!! It's been a while since I went for this. =)

Well, life's been the same. Nothing much has been going on. Went to Suntec City yesterday with my bro to get some stuff. There's this interesting festival that was going on over there - Singapore Street Festival. I felt like as if I was in Japan; people dressing up with distinct and bright colours, girls with high platforms.. Interesting! I never knew such events existed here. =p

Being sick sucks.. Down with flu, sore throat and fever. This is my second time being ill in two months. Thank God the holidays are coming right on time. I'm really gonna need this one week break. :)

Anyways, last week was fun! Stayed at home during my free days. Of course, TV too! Most of y'all would know, David Cook won AI. The battle of the Davids finally ended. I voted for Archie though on Wednesday. I was stunned to find out that Cook on by 12 million votes. Like, WHOA!! How did that happen? I thought Arch owned the finale night. Anyways, I'm happy that Cook won. Both Davids are gonna have a good singing career in the future. I'm still trying to find a way to download Cook's winning song. It's really too bad we can't buy songs off iTunes from SG. =p

Then, it's Dancing With The Stars. Yamaguchi Crew won! I couldn't be happier. I knew they would win this season seeing that they were the only one team who got full scores from the judges in one particular week, and that doesn't happen often. So, congratulations! :)

I'm so glad that almost all the shows I've been watching online and on TV itself are coming to an end, that way I can concentrate on my studies! LOL! Of course, when one ends, another one starts! =)

SYTYCD Season 4 officially has officially started. Can't wait to download the show! :)

Blog song's been changed. This song is pretty catchy, and I can't seem to get it outta my head! Heh!

Hello to all my people of this planet that we call Earth! =p

Well, it's been quite some time since I've last updated. Wanted to post some entries during the holidays, but I was just too lazy to do so. Gotta accomplish the tasks that have been long overdue! Heh! Most of you guys would probably know what I'm referring to.. Yup! TV! LOL! Had a few games of badminton too in between the hols! Finally managed to use my newly modified racket. Hee! Yay! =D

The downside, unfortunately, not everyone managed to turn up for the game. =(

Anywhoo, so much for holidays now. Today was my first day of the 2nd semester. Was fashionably 1 hour late, and an aunty-like lecturer. Great... JUST GREAT. Anyways, glad to see some old faces back in school. I also managed to catch up with my long lost friend and classmate of 3 years Marcus! Gosh! How long has it been dude? Haha! Anyways, glad we got to meet up again. =)

Not exactly looking forward to school now though. I'm finding lectures to be so dull and interestingly boring. Somehow I've lost interest. Don't know why. Gotta gain it back. Wanna do well in something I've been interested in all this while. =)

So.. Mother's Day this Sunday. 'Lil sad that I've never gotten a chance to celebrate it with my Mom physically, albeit celebrating this occasion twice in every year (falls on December in Indonesia). Haha! I've been thinking of an appropriate song to dedicate to her. It took my some while when all of a sudden my iPod played this song from Spice Girls during shuffle mode. So in honour of her, I'm dedicating this current blog song to my dearly beloved Mama! I know she barely knows how to use the computer, but it's the 'love' that counts... right? Hee! If I can't thank her physically, I must improvise, by using modern technology. LOL! =p

OK. It's official. I'm hooked to this season of American Idol. I watch it at least 3 times on its actual weekly airing. It's past 2AM now and I'm YouTub-ing AI even as we speak. LOL! =)

OK, so one of my favourites have been knocked out, and that was David H (still don't understand how he got the boot despite others' *cough*Kristi*cough performances were worst than his). But I'm still keeping my hopes up for Brooke White though. I've been rooting for these 2 since the Hollywood round. =D

When Seacrest said AI has the best top 12 this year, he ain't talking sh*t. I'm completely lost for words at the amount of talents these guys brought into this season. Sure, Kelly set the bar high in the first season. But boy oh boy, this season is unlike any other seasons I've ever watched. THEY'RE AMAZING! So amazing, even the youngest contestant, 17-Y.O David Archuleta, ain't even a tiny bit close to any other Singapore Idol & Live The Dream finalists combined (Joakim, go take vocal lesson from this kid). I'm not exaggerating BTW. It's pretty much factual. Don't believe me? This blog song is actually from Archuleta himself. =)

Speaking of Archuleta, he did a rendition of 'You're The Voice' last week, which was originally done by John Farnham in 1990. The judges' critiques? Well, Randy and Paula liked it, 'cept for Simon, saying that it was a 'reminiscent of a theme park performance with animated creatures joining and coming along together'. Like, WTH did he think of that?? LOL! But that ain't stopping me from liking the song. I thought it's pretty catchy, and the retro-ness got the better of me. Hehe! Don't you think so? =) I personally think he did a great job in this cover. And so, in honour of him, I've changed my blog song to his version of 'You're The Voice'. This is the full version recorded in the studio after the performance night. =)

I think this guy is slowly moving up to my favourites list each week. He did relatively well this week, yet again. We'll see how things go for him next week. =)

Stayed over at Marcus' place last Friday with John for a night of mahjong and trash talk. It's good to chill back after a hard week's work, and nothing beats to the companion of my best friends. =)

I'm so gonna stuff myself with TV once the holiday starts. By then, for crying out loud, I hope the writers strike thing will end, and more shows will be back on-air. *HEROES* =)

Well what a week it has been. Let's see..

Lectures from Monday to Thursday, followed by bridging on Thursday night and the weekends. HOW TIRING! So it's Tuesday today, and I'll make sure I'll get my well-deserved rest today and stuff myself with good TV shows, and projects... later in the evening lah, too tired to think now. Heee!

Good Friday was a good day (D'oh? That's why it's a GOOD Friday). Didn't go to church on that day. Technically, we're supposed to go Malaysia; it was planned quite some time already. But because of the super massive jam that's been reported on the news and the safety issues, it raised some questions for some of us and we're forced to make a change of plan (sorry to those who REALLY wanted to go). So we changed it to badminton at CCK stadium. Haha! YES! We did have fun at the end of the day, and I made sure we made full use of the 2 hours we booked on the courts. I suck so bad!! Haha! After that went to KC's to learn how to play Mah Jong. Very auntie rite? LOL! Guess what, it's pretty fun to play! Makes your brain think better. Really. =) Let's do this once a month guys! A good way to keep fit rather than going out to town where we'll only waste money.. Lol! =p

OMG! I totally got drenched while on my way to school. The wind direction was merciless! God I hope I won't fall ill. I've got an exam this Sunday! >_<

Well, nothing much happened actually. Things have been OK so far. Oh oh!! Wanna givee a little shout out to my newly born baby cousin Cathleen Chen!! My cousin gave birth to her on the 1st of March, a day after 29th Feb. I can't wait to meet her on my next visit to Jakarta!! :))

Went for dinner with Stingray at TP's Botak Jones last Friday. It's been quite some time since I last met them. Managed to catch up with the rest of the group on what had happened during my absence. Had a very filling dinner there too. I got a lift back from Dan Ng after. TY TY TY Dan! :)

Yesterday I went to Marcus place on a wet afternoon to attend a mini 'recording' session with Jonathan to record a music piece composed by Jonathan. No information shall be revealed for this moment. Hehe! Had a game of chess with Marc as wel halfway through. Damn was it a hilarious one too! Right Marc? Hah!

Anywhoo, the weather's been crazy for this week, and I seem to get sleepy much faster. WHICH IS GOOD!! I don't wanna look like a panda in the future, if you get my drift (not that I'm saying they're ugly ya! I love pandas! Haha!).

First of all...

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!! :)

Well, technically I'm exactly posting this post on the last day of this festive season for us Chinese, 'cuz today is the 15th day of the Chinese calendar, which marks the last day of CNY. :)

It's been almost a month since I last posted. Blogging can be a hassle at times, but I like having it still. Hehe!

And to make things worst, my Acer got infected by an Assiral.B worm. I didn't know it was a worm until I went online to check it out. How the worm works is when I start up my computer, I always have to launch the worm, or else I won't be able to access my desktop. So all these while I've been oblivious to this worm and that I've been launching this worm day in and day out. So I had to reformat my PC, and now, for some weird reason, it won't launch to the desktop 'cuz of some hardware installation sh*t. I guess this is telling me that it's time to get a Mac already. Hehe!! Thank goodness I've got 3 other computers to rely on. Otherwise I'd be living a miserable life without Internet!!! Haha! ;)

Anyways, this is just a small summary for the past 3 weeks plus that I've been idle from Blogger:

01/02: Went to Lydia's place for farewell dinner. She's left for Australia for her university education. All the best to you Lydia!! :)

02/02 to 10/02: Went back to Jakarta to celebrate CNY with my family (Yes, if I don't go back I won't get hongbao k? 'Cuz I've got no relatives here. Lol.)

11/02: Had a bad diarrhoea after returning back from Jakarta for 2 days. I lost 2KG 'cuz of it. Went to Raffles Hospital for medical check-up after class. Medicine's quite effective. *thumbs up* :P

19/02: Went to KC's place for CNY lunch with the rest.

The rest of the dates are filled with tutorials. School life hasn't gone any easier as the days passed. I'm just jealous for poly peeps and the BComm students now, 'cuz it's their holiday period, and here I am now having tutorials. Lol.. -_-

Anyways, blog song's changed. Hope you guys like it.. It's one of the highest rotation song in the Indonesian airwaves, and I am not surprised why it managed to do so. This song's nice! :)

I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M PUTTING MYSELF UNDER SO MUCH PRESSURE. All in the name of education. Sigh!

First of all.......

HAPPY NEW YEAR: 2008!!

Phew! Finally I let that out. Heh! It's been a helluva ride in 2007. I'm hoping 2008 will be a great one to follow. Spent the new year at Marina with friends and my family. I couldn't ask for anything more for a new year. I got the fireworks on video BTW. It's still in my phone. Heeee! :)

So.. first entry for 2008. Heh! It's been quite some time since I last updated my blog. I've come to a conclusion that having a blog is really a chore. You have to update it every now and then. That is why from now on, blogging will be my last uder my priority list, unless the urge is there, which is a whole different story. Haha!

Well, nothing much has been happening, aside from occassional outings on weekends with my brother. I've been literally slacking at home all these while, indulging muyself with good TV, and of course YouTube. Haha! :D

OK... back to reality. -_-

Will be starting my Mass Communication degree program from Murdoch University come this Monday. I took up majors in Communication Technology and Policy & Marketing and Management, both of which I'm not really experienced with. I had a really hard time deciding on M&M and Journalism, but eventually I chose Marketing. Reason being there is a better opportunity for me to find a job since almost every company / organisation has to have marketing, whereas the chances of finding a job that seeks journalism skills are much slimmer. I have a bad feeling that I will have a hard time pulling this through since I also have to deal with additional bridging programs for Marketing, which runs concurrently with the degree program, except that it'll be at night (and frickin' expensive I might add, considering the fact that it'll be only 3 modules for 3 weeks [$500/week]). Haix!! How how how? I ask myself this question almost everyday. All I can do now is to prepare myself for the future and not to halt when something unfamiliar comes, 'cuz in life if you don't go the extra mile, you'll lose the marathon. Cliche, huh? But hey, that's my source of motivation. Hee!

Pray along with my ya? So I that will survive this without growing white hair. LOL! ;)

Tired. Just came back from CG. Felt quite left out actually 'cuz they're talking about camp and I was the only one there who didn't go. Haha!

Had my French class on Monday. Boy oh boy! I never knew how hard learning a language can be! It's never an easy thing to learn a language which you're not born to speak in.. So if you are bilingual, you should be blessed. Hehe! Thank goodness I learnt Mandarin at an early age. God knows how am I going to cope in Singapore without knowing how to even utter a single word of Chinese! Haha! Well, I thought it was quite fun though it's only the first lesson. Looking forward to the next one on Monday! Hee! Speaking about education, these few days gave me time to think of what major I should take for the degree program. I'm still contemplating between PR and Communication Technology. My forte is DEFINITELY not PR, at the same time I haven't touched Comm Tech at all (though I'm really willing to learn it since I wanna go into the radio industry). Haix!! So confusing. I gotta to make a decision soon. I'm gonna have to enroll on Monday 'cuz that's the latest date before the school closes for the holiday season.

Well, this week was our final week with Alan. Had a nice gathering at Marina Bay to have steamboat on Wednesday before he went in this morning. After all it's been a while since I last saw my friends (a few of you will know what I've been through). Hey Alan, I know you won't be able to read this anytime soon, but all the best in army! Heh! I don't know how is it like there, but I hope you'll be adapted to the lifestyle there. AND have fun! :)

December... what a start. -_-

A lot has happened this past couple of weeks. Loads of ups and downs, all within 1 day. Not a month, not a week, but ONE day. It's so frustrating! All I can say is that this wasn't what I had imagined, especially during the holidays. HOPEFULLY things will be better in time to come.

A big apology to KC & Marcus for not being able to go to Pulau Ubin this past Saturday on last minute notice. I hope we can do it some time again before next year. Hopefully we'll accomplish that. :)

I got a new phone last week along with a new line from SingTel, Sony Ericsson K530i. It was on a promotion where when I get a 2 year contract the phone's $0. So I got that, and a new PLANNED line which took eons for this day to come. Haha! The phone has all the basic functions like 2MP camera with video, MP3 player, radio. No wi-fi unfortunately. Call it a downgrade from my previous N80. But hey, I still love this phone nevertheless! It's much faster, sleeker, and definitely A LOT slimmer than my shaver-shaped N80, that's for sure. For those who hasn't gotten my new number, please text to my old number and I'll give you a reply back with my new number.

I don't feel safe displaying my mobile number in public, espcially on the W.W.W where literally everyone around the world is entitled to view it. LOL! :)

I'm intending to take up French classes over at Cambridge Institute for a month or 2 before my degree term starts on 14th of January next year, just so I won't rot at home. Hee! Learning a new language is never an easy task, espcially when you're not born speaking it. I can't imagine.. Expanding my vocabulary of language is never a harmful thing, that's what I told myself. Haha!Not sure how well it'll go, but wish me luck! :)

Apparently this happenened LA. They went cruising along the LA highway to one of the richest estate in America - Bel Air. Apparently this socializing event happens weekly!!!! DOH!!! Man.. I wish I could be there. :P

YIPPEEY!!

My bro finally got his hands on OS X Leopard! He finally got it installed last night in his MacBook Pro. Unfortunately after the installation, it was 2AM. So my bro insisted that I went to sleep first and play it the next day as he's got work and I'm free. SO I got so psyched, I woke up at 11 this morning (not that early, but it's an accomplishment OK! Hehe!) just to try it out. I'm REAALLLLY loving the features lah!! Time Machine, Spaces, Cover Flow, iChat, Bootcamp, Stacks... and too many more to mention! ;)

I spent the whole day at home trying out all the new stuffs. What can I say? I had fun exploring! Haha! Now I'm paying the price: headache. :P

Well, another late blog entry. Been pretty moodless to blog this past few weeks. Too many unexpected things happened and I didn't have the mood to blog about 'em. I hope this blog isn't going to die anytime soon. Haha! ;)

I'M SOoooo RELIEVED!! Yes, school's over. Well, not exactly 'over' over. Just waiting for the exams. We're currently having our study break before the first paper on the 24th of this month. I hope that I'll my brain will start to co-operate with me for the next week or 2, 'cuz I'm really in desperate need of getting an HD to prepare myself for the degree program next year. Getting a 'D' isn't satisfying enough. Heh!

It's really starting to get to me. Commitments. When will I start to take commitment seriously? So many things are circulating in my brain now, and I don't even know which one to begin with. Sometimes I just feel like I'm imprisoning myself. Now that's left is just to find the right key which will unlock the cell. How long will it be? Only time will tell.

Looking on the bright side, my diploma course is officially ending at the end of this month. I cannot wait for gradutation! :)

I opened the box, and there it was!!!!! My beautiful 6th generation 80GB Black iPod classic, ENGRAVED. I literally jumped for joy after opening that box. Yea, I know it might sound cheesy. But this has gotta be the best birthday present that I've ever gotten so far in my life, and I'M LOVING IT!! By now most of you peeps should have seen it. My MRT trip will never be as boring with music in my ears. Haha! Thanks a million kor!!! =)

Well, that's all for the happy side. =P

On the other side, things are really getting stressful. All the school to blame. Sigh! It's sucking the life outta me. I've been having school like everyday this week. and I mean LITERALLY everyday, including weekend MediaCorp classes. This excludes, projects and class assignments, which are all due this week.

One thing I'd probably take with me is the learning experience. I've truly learnt a lot within this week, and I'm really starting to enjoy Journalism. I might consider majoring in it for the degree program. Nothing confirmed yet, however. Until the time comes, I'll let Him do the thinking for me. :D

My parents are in town for this week. It's the final week of Hari Raya Festival this week, so my parents flew by here to end off their holidays with us before they start worl again next week. It's really sweet of them. I missed them so much. Having them here is like the the best thing I could have asked for. I thank God they're still in good state, and I pray that it'll remain this way. :)

I'm officially 20 years oldas of yesterday, and I had a blast celebrating it! WHEE!! :D

My special thanks to Marcus, Eileen, KC, Isaac and John for taking time planning today and taking their time out to spend their evening with me on my birthday at Marina Bay, and also for the WONDERFUL PRESENTS as well! ^_^(thanks Marie for that cute cup! and Priss for contributing in the presents too! Wish you were there.. Hehe! Thanks again!)

We had steamboat as usual, and had a little game of bowling after that. Though celebration wasn't as long, I still enjoyed myself. It's more of the company that I'm happy with. Really. I couldn't have asked for a better companionships that I had this evening. Today really meant a lot to me, and I'm grateful that I could share it with you guys. I'm blessed to have friends like you peeps! Thank you guys once again. TERIMA KASIH!!!! :D

Man! September flew by just like that. How time flies.

Anyways, couple of birthdays just passed too! Isaac's on the 25th, and Eileen's on the 29th. Had a combined steamboat birthday celebration with them on Thursday at Marina Bay with Marcus, KC and John. I had a great time with them, my closest circle of friends.

School life has been getting from bad to worst. As some of you people reading this may know what I'm talking about, my lecturer's a nut crack. She lacks experience in teaching, and she doesn't make a good lecturer. I sometimes wonder how the degree classes are tolerating her nonsense and atrocious behaviour towards 'university under-grads'. I don't wish to elaborate. She's just crazy. My wish right now is that our lecturer can be replaced with a much more experienced lecturer, like the one we had in MediaCorp with Pauline. She makes a GREAT lecturer with her past experiences as a journalist with MediCorp Publishing of TODAY newspaper. Right now, all I need is just to pass these last 2 modules and I'm done with my Diploma programme. Hopefully I won't see her again next year. She's on the brink of ruining my study life in SMa. -_-"

On a lighter side, I met up with some old school mates with Marcus after class today; Alan, Sing Ling, Siew Cheung and Tasha. Though we didn't talk long, I was happy to have met up with them. After all, it's been a really long time. After that Marcus and I went to KC's for our supposedly 'weekly study Tuesday'. Didn't do much, but we it was still something. Lol! Oh, and what I've been waiting for has arrived: I finally got my hands on the iPod touch!!!!! I SOO WANT THAT FOR MY BIRTHDAY! LOL! It's the best gadget I've ever held on my hands. You really have to touch it to believe it for yourself. Explaining it wouldn't be enough. Heh! SO if you guys have the time, visit either epiCENTRE at Wheelock Place, Suntec City or Cathay Cineliesure, and go check that sh*t out! ;)

I got a D(istinction) for my Principles of Marketing module!! Haha! I was soooo shocked, 'cuz I only expected either a Pass or Credit, nothing else above that, 'cuz I barely wrote more than 2 pages per answer when during the exam day itself, all my classmates needed another answer booklet. So they like wrote about 3 pages average for one question. Haha! When the result was posted on the school's notice board on Friday, I had to check and re-check again just to make sure I wasn't seeing the wrong ID. Haha! Praise God! Prayer really helps. Thanks Clarice for praying for me and Marcus for helping me out! :)

School's really sucking the life out of me. Lectures are getting soo boring and draggy. How I wish lectures are held in the morning, 'cuz my brain just doesn't function in the evening, really.

Title says it all. I have been wanting to say this publicly, and here it goes:

MY LECTURER'S A BYOTCH!!

No offence, but what kind of a 'university' lecturer makes his or her student stands up for not being able to answer her questions? It's utterly preposterous and ignorant. Sometimes I wonder why she came to SMa. She should have taught English at some primary school or something. She'd be sooooo compatible with the kids there, really. -_-

I just got my results for Media & Technology module. I got a C. How disappointing. I expected to get a D actually. A big congrats to my big sis Thulasi for scoring another HD for this module. I know how much she hated this module. Haha! I'm happy she scored well for it. :D

Haix! Sometimes I have to tell myself to not think so highly of myself when I'm barely near the standards of some of my qualified classmates. But what the heck, I'm not happy at all with my results. >.<

All the more I'm determined to score better for my upcoming modules! BUT HOW?? Sigh! I hope I pass my Marketing. *prays hard*

I don't wish to rant any further, it'll only make my wrinkles pop out. Not as if it's already been done. Thank goodness Priscilla's been a great company, along with Fandi and the old batch. I tell you, if it weren't for them I don't think I'm gonna survive these two modules. School's been a bore, and it's getting really frustrating. I'm gonna have this lecturer throughout my 2 modules this term. WHICH MEANS, I'm gonna be seeing her every frickin' day. To make it worse, an asswipe from the previous term got deferred to our final term.

THE former rally driving champion Colin McRae was killed and his five year-old son feared dead in a helicopter crash yesterday afternoon. The aircraft came down in Jerviswood, Lanarkshire, half a mile from the family's home and burst into flames just after 4pm.

Jean-Eric Freudiger, McRae's agent, said the 39-year-old driver had been piloting the helicopter himself. Also on board were believed to be his son Johnny, another adult - said by locals to be a school friend of McRae - and another child. McRae's wife Alison and their daughter Hollie, 9, were not on board, friends said.

Strathclyde police said in a statement: "Four people were onboard the helicopter," adding "The bodies were found within the helicopter which is owned by Mr Colin McRae of Jerviswood House, Lanark. It is believed he was onboard the helicopter."

McRae became Britain's first World Rally champion in 1995. He was one of the country's most successful sportsmen, achieving 25 wins in World Rally events and 42 podium places. He was a flamboyant driver, inspiring one the world's best-selling computer rally games.

The helicopter came down within half a mile of McRae's 16th-century home, which has an adjacent helipad. The weather had been overcast, with southwesterly winds gusting to 30 knots and good visibility.

Officers with dogs and torches continued to comb the woodland near the crash into the night.

McRae's wife, a childhood sweetheart and his former co-driver, was taken back to the house under police escort shortly after 6pm.

McRae's friend the rally journalist Jeremy Hart, who flew with him several times, described him as a "very good, very measured pilot".

"Colin regularly flew all over the UK and into Europe," said Hart. "He knew the terrain and conditions at Jerviswood very well.

"As a sportsman he was a true hero. As a driver Colin was misunderstood slightly as being reckless but everything you saw with him came from pure raw talent as opposed to being learnt. He was the Michael Schumacher of rally driving.

"It's so ironic that he should die in a helicopter crash when he had competed and had brushed with death so many times as a rally driver."

Sad news indeed. I've always loved his rally games. How life can be so short... R.I.P Colin.

Oh goodness, goodness me. OK, I didn't wanna blog today initially. But I just can't! I had to. Haha! I couldn't help it. :P

EARTHQUAKE!!!!

YES!! IT HAPPENED! @_@

This is the second time within a month that I've experienced an earthquake. The previous one I experienced was during my trip back to Jakarta. I think it was on my third day there when the quake hit at around midnight. It wasn't as long, thank goodness. It was only about a minute, and then it stopped. Our house's chandelier shook vigorously. It was only then we realised we weren't dizzy. It was really a tremor. It measured 7.0 on the Richter scale.

Then TODAY, I was playing pool with Marcus over at Pool Fusion at Bugis when we wanted to end our last game, Marc felt giddy. I was about to say I was too, until I saw the table lamps shook. It was only then we knew that it was a tremor. Everyone started storming out from the nearby buildings to get to safety in case they happen to collapse. I mean, who can blame them for how they reacted? Some of the buildings at Bugis are pretty old. Heh! It was a traumatising experience I must say. I mean, this is the most I've experienced an earthquake in my life so far. Twice within one month? I think I'm cursed.. Hahahahaha! Go figure.. *touch wood touch wood*. As usual, it came from Sumatra. Today's quake measured 7.9, and it was quite long before it began stopping slowly! I underestimated it. I thought it was only 7. Haha! Thank God I'm still here. Haha!

Here's something to blog about before I end this entry. I sat in a cab this evening. This cabbie driver hit 150KM/h on the highway!!!!!! HOW COOOOL WAS THAT!! He has the need for speed man! I sooo wanna be like him.. Hahahaha! Whoo! ;)

This week is my final week of the holidays. I can't wait for it to end. Haha! I've been suffering from chronic boredom, and I don't think I can take it any longer.

Today had some fun with Eileen and Marcus. Had a few rounds of pool before we head off our separate ways. After pool I headed to Marcus' parents' office to greet his parents. Had a nice chat them. After that went to meet my bro and jie for dinner at Crystal Jade at Takashimaya. Food was yummy! Mmmm.. :)

Today is also the mark of the 6th year of 9/11. I will never forget the day of the collapse of the WTC in New York. God bless the innocent lives which were taken away on that day. We'll always remember this day.

Bed time.. Having a bad headache. No idea why it came so sudden. Haix! Nite..

I couldn't ask for a better MP3 player.

First of all......

Since Sunday, the only town we've been visiting is only City Hall, and mainly Suntec City. Haha!

OK, here we go..

First, it was on Sunday. After lunch and arcade at Toa Payoh, Marcus, Maki and I went to Suntec City to visit KC at Comex at the Convention Centre. The place was sooo packed, it stretched out to the exit of Suntec. What made it worse was that it was on a Sunday, so even MORE people. Haiz!! Just as we thought that was the worst of it. Boy were we in for a roller coaster. Haha! Comex was even waaayyy crowded. We had to wait for frickin' 15 mins just so we could get on the lift to get us to the Convention Halls. Haha! It felt soooo good after leaving from Comex and that I could finally stretch my arms out freely. Haha! OK lah, Comex not as bad lah! Got plenty of chicks, and I won some Intel goodies too! Haha! So Marcus, Maki and I went to meet Eileen who was working there on that day as well. Had dinner after that, walked around, and we went off shortly. :)

Then on Monday, I met up with John and Marcus to get a goodie for someone. Initially, I met up with Marcus first, then John joined us about an hour later. We intended to go Bras Basah from City Hall. But due to the bad weather and it only started raining once I got to City Hall, we just headed to Suntec City, again, since there was shelter. Heh! Well, we couldn't find what we wanted there exactly, but we got the goodie anyways. So, nothing lost. So we had lunch at the foodcourt, played some Daytona over at the aracde (so expensive! $1/game..), and we headed to Marcus' parents' office to chill until John's driving lesson in the evening. Had fun playing Y8's games and introducing John to it. We made far too much noise though. Hahaha! :)

Yesterday, I was back at City Hall for the thrid time in a row to go Bras Basah Complex to get my bro's Vic Firth drum sticks. Marcus and KC came along too. After we got what we wanted, we left for Funan to go get KC's stuff, and also my bro's memory stick card for his K810i. So, we walked and walked around, and Marcus had to leave us halfway 'cuz he had to be back at the office. So about half hour later KC and I went to Cathay, thinking that his cousin is still there. I think by the time we got there he left already. So sad.. Haha! So we walked to Plaza Singapura and chill out to kill time while waiting for his clan mates to meet up with him. After they came, I left to meet my bro and sis at Taka's Tiffany & Co. to go get my Jie's and her Mei's bling bling. My first visit to Tiffany's too. Haha! Anyways, it was off to dinner after that at the Thai Restaurant. Yummy! Love the food there. And it was home sweet home.. :)

Finally! Like, I've been longing for this for as long I could think of. The exams are finally over! Now it's just the wait for the results. Hopefully I'll pass with flying coloues.

Today's the official start of examinations. Today's paper is on Media Technology & Development. Not one of my favourtie module for Mass Comm. Loads of grandparents' stories involved. I practically stoned throughout the whole lecture. But because of the help I've gotten from my bud Marcus, I managed to grasp everything within a couple of days prior to today. I really felt relieved after I got out of the examination room, 'cuz I managed to answer the questions!! Haha!

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to 31st October. I've been seeing plenty of Lamborghini's these past few weeks. Mostly Gallardo. A few weeks ago I saw, surprisingly, a white Murceilango. Haha! That's pretty rare to see that model, plus, white in colour!! I'm just feeling so hyped to get my hands on NFS. ProStreet is gonna be released on that day!! YAY YAY YAY!! The day ended off with the 3 of us; KC, Hui Fang and myself. So we went to KC's place to watch a Korean 'comedy' movie. Hahahaha! We then had a mini surprise for Hui Fang, which KC almost kinda lost touch on something. But luckily, everything turned out well. The chocolate cake was very filling... and BOY was it big. I thought it was gonna be small since KC told his Mom to get the small one. I guess she's looking at the bigger picture.. Hahaha!

I really had fun today. :)

Well, I told myself that I would stay at home today. Turns out otherwise. Haha! I woke up to KC's call this afternoon (YES, afternoon, NOT morning. I was super tired from Sunday), and I decided to go out. Hee!

So I went to Causeway Point and met up with KC, along awith his clan-mate Ray. So we walked around for a little bit, and we played a little at Timezone. After that we went up to Cathay and we decided to go catch Rush Hour 3!! YES! I was hilarious! I enjoyed the movie, though I wished the movie could be longer. The storyline kinda sucked though. Wish it was more exciting. I was laughing more than I could understand what they were trying to solve. Haha! I did get some bit lah, of course. Heh! After everything we went to RP to meet up with the rest of KC and Ray's clan-mates. So here I am now at RP's library, posting this entry. This lappie I'm using now is so f***ed up, it's already taking me about 20 mins to type this friggin' entry lah! Haha! Lucky for me I had time to kill. If I'd known earlier I should have brought my laptop. At least RP's wireless connection isn't as restricted as SMa's. -_-"

OK, off to watch them training for CS. KC has started his own clan, and I'm witnessing their training session now. Haha! Really wanna see how he peforms as the clan leader. Heh! Ciao for now!

ANYWAYS...

Yep, I went back to Jakarta for 5 days. I'm happy I could spend time with my family again in such a long time. I didn't really do much stuff there aside from going to my parents' office and helping them around where ever possible during the weekdays. Another thing we did was EAT!! Hahahaha! I miss the food there. I tried J.co, Indonesia's version of Donut Factory. I feel so left out from Indonesia lately, 'cuz I never knew what J.co was until my classmates told me about it. And coincidentally On Wednesday, we passed by J.co! So I just had to try 'em. They were delicious lah!! Haha! Unfortunately I didn't bring back any, 'cuz the donuts get sticky if they're not consumed fast and the taste won't be there. So I don't see the point of brining it back. We ended our day in Jakarta by taking a ride down our Kelapa Gading town. Many things have changed since we last been there. New malls, new shops. Kinda looking forward to my next visit to Jakarta.. :)

Well, I'm in school right now, suffering from boredom, as usual. Haha! We're watching The Matrix now, which I already have it on VCD at home. Hence this entry at this kinda time. Heh! Frickin' tired from last night. Our flight departure was delayed in Jakarta 'cuz of the flight sequence. We were third in line, and we got delayed for 40 mins on the runaway. We landed in Singapore at midnight. By the time I got home it was almost 1. After we got home we immediately packed our stuff, and I got to bed at 2. -_-"

Well, just came back from pooling with my pool buddy Mr M. Seah, and since I'm in school now and I've got nothing else to do, I'm gonna post. I have been procrastinating anyway, so I think it's about time. Hee! I'm in the mood too. :)

Yep! As the title says, my relatives are in town. I'm so happy! OK, maybe I'm exagerating a little bit, but having my extended family in town makes me feel closer to home a little, considering the fact that I haven't seen my parents since CNY. My cousins, from Australia and New York came back a couple of days back along with my American-ised nephew and niece (they couldn't really remember me though, despite sending me a CNY card this year, LOL!), and my aunts. These few days have been fun! Managed to catch up on a lot of things. I'm happy, again. :)

This week I didn't really do much I guess aside from school, CG and YF. Oh oh! Yea! Auditions! It was sooo nerve wrecking! I managed to pull through the songs that they chose. They told me I was good, but I can't really trust their word. I'm sure they said the same thing to the others. I mean, we don't expect them to give their criticisms right in front of our face right? Hahaha! Interview's this Saturday morning, at 8.30!! I wonder what am I gonna do after the interview. I've got nothing to do for about 3 hours plus before my class over at Caldecott Hill. LOL!

And guess what, my N80's spoilt. Haha! I don't know what caused it, but the screen just goes white when the slider's up. I think I've been playing with the slider too much. To make it worse, my warranty's voided 'cuz I don't have the sticker at the back of my phone. I just hope the repair won't be costly. I'm kinda broke. :p

It's really been a tiring past few days indeed. So many things had to be done this week. I'm thankful it's all done already. But that doesn't mean things are going easy in school. IT AIN'T, and it never will. Topics just keep on getting harder and harder. Haha! I hope I'll be able to cope, especially with the quizzes. Damn! I've been failing them! This never happened in the previous semester. I've really got to buck up. Please pray for me OK? So that I'll be more motivated to study. Hee! I really wanna get good grades for this. :))

I've been pretty preoccupied these few days for God knows what reason. I've never had this kinda feeling in my entire life before. Lots of things are going in my mind. Friends, family, school and social life. I feel like I'm being taken too lightly. I don't make friends well. OK, fine. I enjoyed my weekends this week. I'm happy. :)

Saturday: Watched Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix (GREAT MOVIE) + free drinks & pop-corns and dinner huntingafter the movie, which we finally landed at Peace Centre with KC, John, Eileen, Marcus and a new friend, Hui Fang. Food was good too despite the location! :)

Sunday: Went for YF as usual and briefing for next week's audition, and we met up with KC and Hui Fang to go City Hall to get a present for their classmates. After that it was off to Swee Lee to accompany Marcus get his Roland TD3KW. DAMN COOL LAH!! 101% pure enjoyment I tell ya.. Haha! Anyways, after Swee Lee Marcus parted with his parents while Hui Fang, KC and I went to Centre Point to go for a hair cut. Dinner followd after, and we went to KC's house after. The events that happened... it remains a mystery. Hahahaha! ^_^

I think last week's 7 days non-stop classes is taking a toll on me. I'm still soooo tired from it. I've been late for morning classes this week. I mean, REALLY late. I didn't even realise I snoozed my alarm clock. The next thing I know when I woke up was that it was 8AM, and lecture starts at 9. Haha! Oh well, I'm just glad Michael's class is in the afternoon tomorrow. I need my well deserved sleep!! :P

Anyways, this week have been fun. Been playing pool after school with the DBA people, old and new. I just found a new pool place which is nearer to our school. Usually we'd go all the way to Meridien just to play it. But now, we found a new one, which is at the back alley behind our school. The charges are much higher though; $9.80 per hour for 9 foot table, and $10.80 for the tournament's table. But quality wise, it's much better than Meridien's. Yup yup! :))

Today's evening was spent on slacking. After school Marcus and I met up with KC to go walk around at Funan and Sim Lim to go search for mouse, headphones, and mouse pads. We left at about 4-coming-5, Marcus went off to meet up with someone, and I went to KC's place to SLACK! Yeah! Haha! It was fun.. I watched Transformers again on KC's computer. Heee! It still rocks! Get well soon ya KC? Have a speedy recovery! :))

Yupp! The weekend classes had officially begun over at MediaCorp's Singapore Media Academy. I've to say, it was truly a good learning experience. It was a bit unfortunate that we had this session before our Journalism module, because this extra classes at SMA was focused more on journalism. It has been an exhausting 7 days of school non-stop. But I had fun nonetheless. :))

Our lecturer was a journalist himself from Channel NewsAsia, Augustine. You may have heard his voice over some reports, but he rarely appears on camera doing live reporting scenes. He gave us a good real life lessons on how our lives would be like becoming journalist. We were asked to do an assignment on a press conference meeting with the Ministers of the Environment. Like, if we were to be asked to attend, what questions will you ask to the ministers, etc. FORTUNATELY for us, we had the luxury of using the internet to see some outside sources. Technically if I'm a reporter, I'd be assigned to this task right here, right now. In simple term, impromptu. So on my way there I have to actually start preparing on what questions to ask, and make sure that the questions are reasonable and it won't be asked by any other reporters, there's no time to do research on the net. And I'D HAVE TO DO IT in less than an hour! Whoo! Boy, it's waaay much harder than what I had in mind. Hard hard hard work. Oh, and BTW, there's more to that than just this. It's only one half of what we had to do, which I won't elaborate much more. It makes me even more stressed. Haha! :p

On a good note, Augustine was kind enough to let us in to the Channel NewsAsia news studio. We watched on how news were being broadcasted, and what is going on behind the scenes as the news anchor is reading the news. Oh, and we got to meet Sharon Tong too! Very very interesting. It was a dream come true for me, really. :))

I look forward to the weekend classes again! And hopefully I'll get to visit the radio studios next time. :D

Well, these few days have been pretty good. In fact, VERY GOOD! I'm having fun in class, and lecturers are getting better and better as each day passes. I'm really hoping I'll get good grades for the next 2 modules, which are Marketing and Media Technology.

Speaking of grades, look what I received today! :))

Yup! I finally got my CIM certificate. It came with the grades, but I'm too shy to post it up here. Pai seh lah! LOL.. Sigh! How I wish it was the Bachelor's certificate instead. Haha! Oh well, guess I'll have to pesevere more for the next 2 years or so. ^_^

Wow. First post of the month. Haha! How time flies.. :p

Well, as the title said.. Hehe! I went to Liang Court yesterday after fetching my sis from church. That was my first visit there. Sorry if I'm a bit, or a lot swakoo, but the place has so many Japanese stuff! Haha! The supermarket is even showing Doraemon in Japanese, and the customers are mainly Japanese. And get this, there's even a Raffles Medical Group Japan. Haha! Very interesting place indeed. We then ate at the restaurant there. The meals were soooooo expensive, 'cuz they're flown directly from Japan. I mean, a California roll costs $6!! Freakin' ex! But food was good, definitely worth a second try. :))

Class was a bit boring today. Half the class skipped lecture today. Amazing, right? LOL. The quiz was postponed and we watched LOTR: The Return of The King. Fell asleep halfway through the movie.

My distant cousin is gonna come to Singapore tomorrow. I wonder how everything will turn out. I guess only time will tell. I'm hoping it'll be good. :)

P.S: I know lots of you friends out there are ill. Marc, Thulasi and Zaim, hope you guys will have a speedy recovery ahead! May not have been a good start of the month, but I believe that it's gonna be a fantastic 4 weeks ahead of us, and we're gonna get through it! Jia you! ;)

Well, I'm finally changing my blog song which has been around for the past 1 month. Haha!

Anyhow, I'm gonna try something different for the blog song this time. I played through this entire song on my Ibanez, with the help of my brother with the audio enhancement, etc. I managed to get the guitar connected to the PC and digitally record it to the computer and meshed it together with the actual song. Wonderful how technology works these days eh? Hehehe! Song is called 'Home' by Chris Daughtry, and it happens to be one of my favourite songs this year. If you happen to find this name familiar, that's because he was a former American Idol finalist. :)

I know I have made quite a lot of major blunders here and there in this song, 'cuz I've been playing this song for about 5 times before recording so I can get the correct pitch and sound, and I'm playing in different key from the site which provided the tabs 'cuz I don't know how to play that version, and my fingers are hurting now. Been ages since I last played the guitar for this long man. Haha! So pardon me for my mistakes ya? Hee!

First of all: HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY JOHN! :)

It was also the last week that Mr Chang will be working in SFMS. He will be shifting over to Fairfield Methodist as of this Monday. So after school, Isaac met up with Marcus and I, went to shop at Orchard, and left for SFMS for a small impromptu farewell gathering with some of the SFMS staff and students. It wasn't the best, but it think it should be a memorable one for Mr Chang. :)

After the gathering we went straight to Marina Bay and met up with the rest of the invited people for the steamboat. There were about 20+ of us. I must say that everything went pretty well. Sang birthday song to him, and played eggs at the open area. LOL!! Fun day it was. :))

I'm really bored now. While I'm waiting for the completion of CD burnings, I shall blog. Hee!

Anyways, yesterday went to YF as usual. After service there was a 'light' refreshment in one of the classes. The refreshments were sushi! Haha! Church bought quite a lot of sushi, and all of us ate soo much. I came in for service dreading for food, annd the sushi refreshments became my brunch. Haha! So we sticked to our original plan which was planned last week, to go play pool again. Haha! So Marcus, Daniel, Maki, and new guy David went to play pool. KC joined us shortly after. Since there were too many people on one table, I decided to introduce them to a new game. The game which I call 'Survivor'. Goal of the game is to eliminate your opponents' assigned number balls. As long as you have 1 ball left on the table, you're still in the game. Once its sunk, game over. Will explain it in details next time. ;)

So after all the fun, Dan and David, unfortunately, had to go back home. So it was only 4 of us left. We decided to catch Ocean's 13. So we quickly headed down to Marina Square, 'cuz apparently Marina Square's offered the best timing, and the tickets were selling fast too. We got the tickets, and we were seated at the 3rd row from the screen. Hahaha! Not as bad as we thought it'd be like, thankfully. Hee! After that all of us parted and Maki and I took the same train. Was a fun day indeed. :)

Today was the start of a new term. More new students. Now the guys have been outnumbered by the girls in the class. Haha! Anyways, class was fun today. I hope it'll continue to be as fun as the previous term, without the irritant around. Haha! The day ended off playing pool with Marcus at Meridien. Went back to SFMS for a while to kill some time with Tasha, had dinner at Lot 1, and it was home sweet home after. :))

Well today was the best CG session ever, I think. Haha! Kidding lah! More of like an an outing today. We had it over at Kristal's place. It was pot luck. Maki and I shared pizza. Loads of fun we had over there. Mahjong, tai tee, and of course TABOO! ;)

But so much for fun. The start of weekend classes for Mass Communication is here. Haix! Not anticipating for it, not one bit. It's like back to the CIM days. Tomorrow's class will be from 9 to 5, in the school itself when it should be at Caldecott Hill! I really hope it's not gonna be boring. -_-

Today I went back to SMa's campus to study with Marcus and along with the DBA students. I know that if I don't go back to school to study I won't be studying at home 'cuz there're just simply too many distractions. Haha! I managed to cover some parts which has been covered in lecture before but I've forgotten about them. I did something productive today. I also got to check out my exam results. WOOHOO! I got a Distinction for my Mass Communication module! WHEE!! I'm really very happy..

Hard work paid off. YES! ^_^

Yeehah! It has truly been an amazing week indeed. I'm happy that it ended in a good note. :)

On Friday afternoon before the main event at night, I met up with John, Marcus, Eileen and KC for lunch, after which we went to watch the new "Fantastic 4: The Rise of the Silver Surfer" movie over at Plaza Singapura. Movie was great! I wished I had watched the first part of the movie, 'cuz I did't know much about what had happened and what their powers were used for, so I got a little bit mixed up on who has which powers. Anyways, the movie turned out to be good! I didn't think I missed anything much from not watching the first part of the movie. Hee! After the movie we went straight down to Singapore Expo to queue for seats for the Planetshakers concert. Upon reaching Tanah Merah, I was reminding everyone to make sure they have their tickets with them in hand, upon then Marcus realised he had left his tickets in his parents' office all the way at City Hall. Haha! So Marcus and Eileen went back to City Hall to get their tickets, while John, KC and I spent the "super hot and humid afternoon" lining up for good seats while waiting for them and Rachel & Tash to come. We reached Max Pavillion at about 5PM, in which to our surprise the queue was already pretty long. The queue got longer as each minute passed, and about 2 hours later, all of them arrived, but it was very messy indeed because of the queue. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to get a picture of the queue 'cusz we're pretty much dead stuck in between. All I can say is the queue was LONG. So long it stretched out to Hall 8. Haha! At 6.30PM sharp, the doors were opnened and all of us scrambled in to get the best seats in the house. The place was fully packed; full house. The event started sharp at 7.30PM. THE CONCERT WAS AMAZING!! Unforunately I only knew one song, which was "Majesty", though that doesn't change the fact that I had a great time there! Hehe! Pastor Prince was the guest speaker from New Creation. Some of the things he spoke about were repeated, 'cuz I attended some of his sermons. I felt very refreshed after whole concert. God's presence was amazing on that day. Amazing... simply amazing! The long wait was very much worth it. Whoo! =)

On Saturday I decided to spend the day at home resting after Friday's event. In the evening my brother and "sister" went to Wheelock place to get her iPod free gift and an iPod casing. After which we went for a Japanese dinner over at Sun & Moon. I think it was the most expensive meal I've ever had. I won't mention how much, but it was darn out of my range. For the food that I ate, I can see why it was so expensive. LOL!

Today went to church in the morning, after service had lunch with them and played pool after with Marcus and Maki. Daneil and Clarice joined in after. I think I really need help in pool. I'm really getting lousier each day. Haha! But I had fun day today. After that waited in church until about 4 plus to go meet my brother at Funan. We had dinner at TCC, and we bought a new DVD player which supports DIVX format. I'm sooo gonna burn all the shows into DVD and compile them so I can watch them on TV while having dinner. Wheee! :)) Oh, BTW, wanna take this time also to wish a happy belated birthday to Maki and Daniel Ng and Daniel Loh! =)

Yeppie, I'm addicted to American TV shows.. Since the holidays started I've been watching a new series called "Heroes". The show is pretty much like X-Men, but not so sci-fi like creating a storm or attracting magnetic materials. It's about mutants living in an ordinary world from all walks of life, from a cheerleader, to a painter, and their goal is to save the world. Yea. Am I making any sense? Haha! I guess that's all I gotta say about the show. You guys should watch it once it airs here. But I doubt it's gonna be any time soon. Or an alternative choice is to watch it over on the net! Hee!

YAY! In my 11 years of stay in Singapore I finally get to go Pulau Ubin on Thursday. Haha! I went along with Alan, Marcus and KC. We initially planned to go in the morning so that the heat won't be so scorching (am I making sense? =p). But in the end, we got there at about 1 plus. Once we got there we quickly rented a bike and started cycling. We were so eager to start our journey that if we actually had paid more attention to the bicycle renting vendors, there's one shop which rents bikes for $4 for the whole day. We rented ours for $6, and we can only use it until 6. Blah.. And the bike sucks too. So sucky, that halfway through our cycling, KC's left pedal broke and my gears kept on increasing at the slopes. So we had to go back again to get our bikes fixed and continued our journey. -_-"

We cycled until about 5 plus, then we had seafood for dinner, which was GOOOOD! Unfortunately they ended up paying so much more 'cuz I kinda forgot, or rather had no idea that we're gonna eat seafood there. Must have slipped off my mind. Hee! Sorry guys. I promise I'll return you guys back the money once I have enough. Thanks once again guys! =)

Things I find most fun and interesting at Pulau Ubin:

1.) Coconut. Such a hot weather there. Drinking a cold coconut juice... aaah, just refreshing. =)

2.) The agriculture farm. We found a lot of interesting platations over there, some of which are the curry leaf and the lemon grass (I think).

3.) Scarecrows! I mean, how often do we see scarecrows in Singapore? If there are, I'd love to know where. =D

4.) Last but not least, the cycling lah! Haha! Especially the slopes... woohooo!! =) Even though we didn't manage to cycle the whole island, I felt rather accomplished already. Haha! Going to Pulau Ubin itself already made felt so. =)

YES YES YES!!! My well deserved break is here, FINALLY! I've been through hell this past semester. I really need this break. :p

Today was our final paper for this semester. So after class, half of my class and I decided to go out together before we meet up again in about 2 weeks plus, or more. Atiqah, Carlo, Farid, Samantha, Zaim and I went to Holland V with Farid being the boss for the day and drove us there in his Volvo. Cool car BTW boss! Haha! Had a great time chatting with them during lunch. Great bunch of people, hilarious too! :)

After lunch Carlo wanted to go back home to get his rest, while the rest of us continued with the journey. Farid then dropped me off at Clementi and I went back home from there. And then left the house again in the evening to go collectt my O level certificate from MOE with Marcus, and then met up with KC and Terrence along with their friend Kenny at Takashimaya. KC and I then left Terrence and Kenny, and we went to Billy Bombers for dinner. Then it was off to salon to get KC's hair trimmed, then back to Takashimaya to meet with Eileen, and it was home sweet home. :)

I have to say that these 4 weeks that I've been in has been a memorable one. I hope next semester will be a better one, and no more assholes will come and bother our class, EVER again.

Just finished watching the 2nd telecast of Miss Universe 2007. Is it just me or what, but this year's winner was kinda unexpected. Haha! Miss Japan. Who would have thought the tiara would go to a 20 yeas-old dancer? Heh! I guess the highlight of the show was when Miss USA actually tripped and fell down on the aisle during the evening gown walk.. After she fell I'm sure it was VERY embarassing. I mean, you're being watched close to 1 billion viewers worldwide. But I don't think anyone would have been as brave as her to walk the final step gracefully with a bight smile on her face, smiled at the audience and pose for the camera. Wow! She's brave indeed. This is why I rooted her. Well done! =)

It's been a pretty tiring past 2 days. Yesterday after class ended at 12 went out to meet Isaac and Marcus at Orchard. Had lunch at some Japanese stall at Food Republic, after which walked around Wisma Atria before going off to Cathay Cineleisure for pool at KPool. Learnt a new game on the snooker table with a deck of poker cards. After pool we went to visit Alan at Heeren with KC, and Eileen soon joined us for dinner at LJS. Got home at about 9 plus, and I slept at about 10. EARLIEST ever. Haha!

Anyways, gonna be a busy week before the holidays. MC project due this Friday, and exams on 5th and 6th June, at the new campus. Wish me luck! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I desperately need that.

Yesterday was the most fun day I had ever spent at home. The other night my bro installed Windows Vista Ultimate on his MacBook Pro. And guess what, Mac does Windows too!!! Now if only Windows computers could do the same.. But it's really very cool! Imagine working on 2 OS' at the same time in ONE machine. Now that is really major flexibility. Beats getting the Sony Vaio, really, which is only costly because of their design. Mac gives you design, PLUS performance, double the better of what Windows can give. I've been all over the Mac for about 5 hours now. I'm simply loving this genius machine. Here's a screenie:

Anyways, yesterday was fun.. Atteneded EYC's iHope at ACJC. It wasn't all bad except for the depression talk, which was honestly quite boring, quite similar to a JC lecture. LOL! Drama has officially ended. I'm finally done with the stress-driven project that has been driving me fuckin' nuts for this past week. I'm just thankful that everything is done and over with. I'm left with another one, which isn't as hard as this one, 'cuz it's nothing business related, so no pressure. Haha! =p

Anyways, have been having fun since I've completed the project. Been going to Takashimaya for 2 days in a row, I think. Yesterday my class ended relatively early, so went to meet Marcus and his sister at Plaza Singapura to go look for Marie's shoes, and dinner with KC and Eileen that evening itself. Today went out for dinner at Paragon. Not sure what the restaurant's name was, but the food was good, especially the soup! Haha! Thanks KC for the recommendation! After that went to Takashimaya to go walk around before going home.

Anyways, just got home now, and the finals of American Idol is on!! Hehehe! I can't miss it for anything! Been waiting for this finals for about a month now. Heh! Outing with SFMS "MIA" gang tomorrow, after such a long time. Hahahaha! Can't wait!!=D

SIGH!! It is official.

I'm living in a world of bugs. It worries me of how many bugs have been flying in and out of my house just this week alone. I think it's because of the weather conditions for this past week. It's always been raining surprisingly. Within this few days we caught two huge cockroaches in the kitchen, one of which was today, which I found running around the kitchen top and the stove. I was so afraid I called in someone to kill it for me. IT'S REALLY HUGE LAH! Yuck! Haha! Yes yes, by now you peeps should know that I'm REALLY REALLY petrified of roaches despite their size and their timid-ness. They always hide in a dark spot and remains stationary until it gets surprised by an unknown moving medium. LOL! ;p

MOVING ON...

I have been busy this past coupla days, 'cuz I've been trying to make my XP to look like Vista. I finally did it today! Heh! I just hope that it will run smoothly 'cuz this thing takes a shitload of my CPU usage, and I only have 256MB of RAM in my 8 years-old HP Pavillion. Hope to get a new laptop soon. =p

Well, nothing much to blog lah really.. Just don't wanna leave my blog dead. Haha!

Last week went out to watch Spider-man 3 with Tash Cupz and Rachel. Movie was great! The ending was a little funny though. I don't know, I just felt that there were quite alot missing. On Friday, since Marcus' contract at Hang Ten has ended, we met up. Had lunch, played pool for about 1 hour plus, which I totally suck in now. Haha! His sister later joined us along soon. After Meridien we went to meet Isaac at Great World City after his work ended. Mingled for about an hour at TCC. The place was great to chill out. Windy environment, cooling drinks... excellante! After everything the day ended with CG. We're talking 'bout how our lives changes after accepting Christ. =)

On the weekend went to KC's house to watch movies and back to church on Sunday. =)

Well that's about it. I know one person is hating me now, and I'm sure it's a he. But I'd really appreciate if you don't vent your anger on my tagboard. If you want to speak to me do it in person. Thanks.

WEEKEND WAS FUN!! =)

I stayed home the whole 2 weekends to watch AVIVA Singapore Open 2007. It's a badminton competition. The players were damn good lah! Haha! I was so impressed with their moves and reflexes. It's just too bad that Taufik Hidayat got eliminated, and I can't believe Thailand won the Men's Singles! Wow! He's damn good. I can't wait for badminton outing again! =D

Well, it's been quite some time since I last updated. Sorry about that. Have been having some problems recently within my family, and it kinda affected me quite a lot. I'm just glad that everything's going A-OK now. (Thanks man! Really appreciate it. =])

Anyways, moving on, these 2 weeks have been joy and exhaustion, put togther. On weekdays, lectures. On weekeneds, ocassionally, outing day with friends or rest at home. Man how I miss those times when school hasn't begun and I can rest the whole day at home. ;p

Anyways, this has been what I had been up to for the past 2 weeks:

- Lectures (x14 -_-)
- Ice skating
- Celebrated Aunty's birthday
- Visit people at work
- CG

I think that's all about what I did for 2 week, at least. I couldn't really remember. Haha! Oh, and about the pictures right, truly sorry. I'm too lazy to upload the pictures. It takes long to actually uploading it. Don't really have much time for that. Heh!

Sigh... back to school tomorrow. Project's due in 3 weeks + time. We haven't even started yet. I really hope we can pull it off. There's been some complications within our group, hence the slow progress. Too lazy to explain what happened. The more I talk about it the more I wanna shove a piece of sponge right into his mouth. Hahahahahahahaha!

Well, I finally got to check out how my bro's office looks like. I've only seen the outside part of the office. But INSIDE, it's quite cool actually, though it's a little bit messy with all the books and magazines all around the office, being a graphic designing studio. Hee! All desks are equipped with a G5!!! How frickin' cool!! Haha! *jaw drops* My bro supervises all the people in his department, which has about 10 people? Before all the work goes to the boss and clients for submission, they all have to go through him.

I'm so proud of him. =)

WOAH!! Finally it's the weekend! I can finally have MY WELL-DESERVED rest. I've been through enough this week already. These past few days have all been morning lectures, and I'm getting worn out very easily. Just yesterday, I had a 6 hours nap from 3 to coming-9. -_-

Isaac just came back from China a few days ago, so I played pool with him after class on Wednesday over at Mosntercue. I can't believe I actually managed to win him by soo many games. Usually it's the opposite. Haha! After pool met up with KC and Eileen to go Compass Point to visit our dear friend Marcus who's currently working at Hang Ten. Had dinner with the group before home sweet home. Took lots of pictures during our ride back home. The embarassing ones are still with KC though. Haha!! ^_^

Anyways, our class went to SMU yesterday to get the textbook for the mass communication lecture. One thing I realised about Dr Angela is that she's very proud that she's a lecturer at SMU. NOW ALL OF US can see why she is! Haha! What a beautiful campus SMU has! 7-11, Kopitiam, Maybellene cosmetic shop, and NTUC DentiCare branch. Get this, there's even a pub in the campus, and the school encourages the students to go! How cool is that? LOL! With this kinda facilities a campus has, there shouldn't be any reason why a student should be absent from class. Haha!

Anyways, going off with my brother to check out his office! Later peeps! =D

Well, that's all I am feeling now: Isolated. Isolated from family and friends. Ever since my diploma class begun I just felt a sudden shift from my everyday life I used to have before everything begun. I miss the times when we could hang out almost everyday of the week at any time. But now it just seems impossible. Poly term has officially started, so has JC, and some are off to work. So basically I'm all I've got. Haha! I guess I just have to wait for the weekends to enjoy what I used to be enjoying then. ;p

But I did have fun yesterday lah, with Eileen, KC and Marcus. We had the whole day yesterday, 'cuz we wanna enjoy our 'last day of freedom' before poly starts. Played pool for 3 hours plus at Meridien, arcade and dinner. Fun fun fun! =)

Oh well, I guess it's back to reality now. So until then... ciao!!

first day of mass communication lecture

Well, as the title says, today was my first day of my diploma class for Mass Communication. We did on Principles of Management today. Saw a couple of familiar faces in the class, one of them being Nicholas. The other 2 were from the February intake of the CIM Introductory Certificate course.

But.. How was the lecture? BORING!

Goodness! The lecturer is talking to himself or what? His name is Dr Fong by the way. Anyways, back to the subject.. Yea, he talks lot of grandmother stories. Haha! And he skips topics too! You won't believe how many times I had to flip the notes to go to the right page. I had to go through the torture for 3 frickin' hours! -_-''

Well, I'm not sure if the rest will think the same as me, but that's just my opinion. Heh! I hope, and wish that tomorrow's lecture will be MUCH BETTER compared to today's.

Harlow harlow!

First of all: Happy April Fool's day! Thankfully I didn't get any pranks or jokes today. I think if I were played, I'd probably fall for it. Haha! Anyways, the past few days have been pretty fun and tiring. =p

On Thrusday, I went to play badminton with Isaac, Eileen, Alan and Marcus at YCK Sports Centre. We booked the court from 11-1. I TOTALLY SUCK in badminton already! Haha! I've not been playing badminton close to one year now. I'm pretty happy that I actually still know how to serve properly. Heh! After badminton we went over to Eileen's place to chill out, chit chatting while had lunch and gym & swimming after that. We had dinner over at Jalan Selaseh. We had Western there, and I love the fish and chips! Yumm.. =D

On Friday it was just a typical day at home. In the evening went to TPMC for CG. On Saturday went to Army Market to get my camo 3/4's for KC's party, and I think I got it for a really, REALLY good deal. It only costs $8! And I wouldn't say the quality is that bad too! =)

Today was fun fun fun! Marcus, Alan and I attended TPMC's adult service this morning. I learnt something new. The first Sunday of April is Palm Sunday. Hee! Anyways. after service we went out for lunch with Mrs Jamie. It was very nice of her to invite us and took her time off to have lunch with us. We had some Sakae Sushi and McCafe. We had a good time catching up with each other and I had a really good time. =D The cheesecake there is delicious, BTW. You guys should try it. Home sweet home after that. =)

OK, I shouldn't type much. Headache's still lurking after the fall, and my class is starting tomorrow.. Time is moving darn fast. How I wish I could slow it down. -_-'''

Firstly: ARGH!! I have to download more Prison Break episodes, 'cuz some are missing from my computer!! Just great. I think fate did this signalling me that I have to study for exams for tomorrow. Hahaha! ^_^

Well, today took a break from work and went to AMK and AMK Hub this evening with Alan. Well, my first impression from the outside was like, whoa! AMK can create such a big mall in a small place. But inside, it's very typical. To be honest, it looks like Jurong Point, which I gotta agree with Alan. Haha! It is big inside, but most of the shops are still closed 'cuz it's only like, what? First or second week of the opening? But the NTUC Fair Price 'Xtra' is big! It's like a hypermarket. I guess that explained the "xtra". Heh! They even sell fitness stuff. I think if I could remember correctly they are selling a treadmill. Not sure what brand though. Haha!

We walked through the whole place, and after that we went to hit the pool centre and arcade. Had fun over there, as usual. =D After that went for dinner at New York New York. Food was good! Serivice was poor though. A staff can look so blur while serving our table, and he is a supervisor. Spare me.. -_-'''

Oh well, exam's today. I hope I did well, I couldn't remember some of the points, and the room was frickin' cold. Writing got tough as the clock ticked.

I couldn't stop watching just one episode a day 'cuz the next episode is always a linkage to the episode you just watched, unlike other series where every episode is a new story. So it's like a movie, but it's broken down into an hourly episode every week.

If you guys liked the first season, season 2 will be a belt-buckling ride for ya! And if you guys haven't watched it yet, START WATCHING! It's a damn good show. Thursdays, 10PM, Channel 5. =D

HARLOW!!

Wow! I've been having a blast these coupla days with Alan, Eileen, KC and Marcus! Whoo whee!! Haha!!

Let's start with 2 days ago, which was Friday...

Got a call from Marcus in the morning after dealing with the differment of KC's NS over at MINDEF. After that met up with them and Eileen over at Thai Express @ Plaza Singapura. Now on the way there, something weird occured: Traffic jam at Steven's Road. Now is it just me or what? Becauce I've never seen a traffic jam at Steven's Road at all. And to make it worse, it was a total traffic. No cars could move from both directions. Haha! But in the end managed to get there, 20 mins late.. -_-

Anyways, I eventually arrived, but didn't have my lunch there, 'cuz I suddenly had no appetite, so I just drank. Surprisingly the drink was pretty filling, didn't really quench my thirst. I wasn't thirsty, I guess. Neither was I hungry. Haha! Weird, I know. After lunch we went to play pool at Paradiz Centre, and I got trashed, pretty badly. Haha! I NEED A POOL COACH! LOL!! We played for about an hour and then we continued with arcade. Played the so called "hitting the buttons" thingy and Daytona MAXX! Cool eh? Haha! So in total we played for about 3 hours, although our main plan to go out was so that Marcus and I could go to school and study for our exams this Monday. But in the end, we did get to studty a little, at the foodcourt, with the help of Eileen and KC. Heh! We had dinner at the same time. After that we parted and Marcus and I went for CG at night. So that's it for Friday. Fun day indeed. =D

TODAY.......

Met up with Marcus, Alan, KC and Eileen at City Hall MRT to go City Harvest Church. It was my first visit there. My impression? WOW!!! I think it's like the biggest church I've ever seen so far, New Creation being one of the biggest. But this one, I was like, WHOA! Had a great welcome there too since I was a first-timer. Hee!! So many handshakes within a day.. Haha! Service was great! I guess I came City Harvest at the right time, 'cuz the topic which was preached today was about 'faith', and somehow it relates to me, A LOT, including some of the scriptures read today. So I kinda enjoyed the speaker, who is from the Staes: Pastor Casey. In fact, I didn't even realise time was passing by so fast. For the first time actually I expected the service to end later. Haha! I was really tempted to respond to the alter call made today. KC offered to accompany me for the alter call, which was very kind of him. But somehow, my heart is still denying it for some particular reason. I hope you guys know what I mean. Like, I keep telling myself I need time, but when is that time going to be? I know after accepting Christ I'll have this big burden I've to carry all around everyday. Not saying it's bad or anything, but I'm just not ready for 'it'. So, here I am, once again saying this, I need time. Hopefully it'll be soon, or it'll never happen. Yes, yes, trust in the Lord. You bet I will. =)

So after church service ended met up with Anna and her CG, talked for a while, and we parted while Anna went off with her cell. The 5 of us went to Marina Bay for steamboat dinner. Well, our initial plan was to actually go to AMK to check out the new AMK Hub. So we decided to take the red line down to Marina Bay first, so that we can have seats while on the way to AMK. But then our mind changed.. So, since we were there already, why not go ahead with steamboat? Haha! So, that's where we landed for dinner eventually. =p Upon reaching there, I had a tummy ache, and it couldn't have happened at the worst timing. I couldn't get up and take the food. I feel like a paralised person... choy!! -_-''' LOL! But as we were eating the ache faded (WHEE!), so appetite came back and ate more. We had a blast during and after dinner, loads of laughter. ^_^

HARLOW GUYS!!

Oh man! I don't keep to my promise when I said I was gonna blog more often. A big apology.. Haha! I'll never forgive myself for that. I'm free now, and I'm bored. So I thought of start blogging. Well, basically I kinda lost my mood to post entries since the postings of the O's results came out.. I just felt hopeless back then. My DAE applications were all turned down. But of luckily, with the supprot of my friends and families, I pulled through, and I'm continuing in SMa and Murdoch University. So, just wanna say a BIG THANK YOU to you guys. You know who you are. =)

Anyways, I know it's a little too late to say this, but going back to Indonesia for CNY was fun. Haha! It's been ages since I went back there for CNY. Got to see the aftermath of the floodings. After going back to Singapore, it's just all about school, school, and school, and pretty much nothing else, I guess.. Last week it was all about assignments and projects. Of course, they're done and over with, and now it's left with the exams, and this course is done, and moving on to Diploma for Mass Communication. I can't wait for it!! Well, maybe pool can be squeezed in between the schools thig. Haha! I've been playing a lot of pool with Marcus in between. He's improving, and I'm totally deteriorating. Haha! I can't shoot far distance shots anymore! That's how lousy I am. Yesterday went out at night with Rachel and myself, after which went to her lobby and hung out until her Dad came back 'cuz she forgot her key, so I accompanied her. Oh oh, and Alan's back again! We had fun going out with him and Rachel, Anna and Marcus to Orchard yesterday, and at KAP wit Tash, John and Marcus for study today. =)

Haix.. Have been having so much fun after my project's done and over this week. I wished it could be like this more often. Haha! Anyways, I kinda forgot what I did for the past month. I couldn't recall. Oh, yea, I miss my 3250! Bloody phone shop told me it'd be done by 4 days. Now it's frickin' 2 weeks already!! I want it back! I need music... -_-'''

This has been the longest time since I last wrote my previous entry. I don't know, I've been so lazy to blog these past few weeks ever since the project and the exams. Anyways, not gonna post about what has happened these past 3 weeks, but here is what I did lah basically.. :)

- For about 2 weeks, busy with projects and assignments for our subject modules (3,000 and 1,000 words essays + project presentation within ONE DAY)

- Bought a new phone: Nokia 3250 (I think everyone I've met should have known that by now)

- Helping out SFMS' Chapel sessions
- New Creation, TPMC's YF & CG sessions
- Lectures (left with 2 more modules)
- Steamboat dinner with Marcus and Alan
- Pool, occassionally
- Watching TV shows: Ugly Betty, Smallville 6, The OC 4

Let's talk about yesterday, shall we? It was the MOST EVENTFUL day I ever had. Good news? NOT!! OK, I spent almost $4 dollars just for a stupid freakin' trip to Orchard by switching from MRT to a bus, then to another bus, then to MRT again. I wasted so much time when I could have just stayed in the train and be more patient. Upon reaching Orchard met up with Marcus, hoping we could play some few racks of pool. Went to Meridien's, full house. Then off to Singapore Shopping Centre beside Park Mall. Looks like an obscure place, also full house. AFTER THAT, went to Cineleisure to do the same thing. We managed to get one table, seeing that the waiting list only is left with one more person. So we guessed, it shouldn't take that long for this dude to finish, or for another table to be opened. The guy handed us the balls, and it was snooker, not pool which we intended to play all along. Then the guy said if we wanna play pool, we had to wait for another 7 more people. I was WAAAYYYY annoyed after that. In total, we wasted about 2 hours physically doing nothing but just to walk around Orchard Road seeing strangers with extravagant assets. I was swearing in discreet while I was on my way home.. SIGH!! -_-

One good thing though, is it was quite an experience, really..

AND...

One valuable lesson I've learnt: IF YOUR PLAN IS TO PLAY POOL ON SATURDAYS, CANCEL IT OUT NOW, UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO SPARE!!

This morning went for New Creation's service instead of TPMC's. Went for the second service with KC, Rachel and Tasha. It's really too bad Pastor Prince wasn't preaching. I was hoping he would preach today. Today's speaker was rather boring. No offence.. Heh! After service went to Toa Payoh to collect some items from the phone shop I bought my phone at. The salesman kinda owed me a PC Suite cable and an acrylic phone protector cover, which I have both with me now already.

After that, went to Orchard to meet up with my bro and Priss to have dinner at a Japanese restaurant at Wheelock Place. Food was GOOD! It's always nice to have dinner with my brother. It's not very often I get to do this.. =)

ASIDE FROM ALL THESE......

I would like to take this opportunity to take sometime off from enjoyment in life to spare some thoughts for the people in Jakarta right now, who are affected by the floods. From what I heard from my parents, it's been the worst flood in a decade. It's surprising to me that the thought of flooding was actually to be at my childhood area where I grew up, but instead, that sid e isn't affected as badly as the area I'm living in now at Jakarta. Flood water is knee-lengthed high.

I tried contacting my parents yesterday but to no avail. I haven't even gotten a reply fromt them until today. The last time I contacted them was 3 days ago. For the past few days, my parents are trapped at home, not being able to work nor get food outside with food supply running out fast at home, and electric supply has been cut off and also their network is unreachable. I hope that Mom & Dad, along with the rest of the people affected, are doing fine over there. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM.. I miss them terribly. I'm going back on CNY and this is the last thing I'd least expect to see when I get back there.

BORED!!

That's all I can say for today. I totally had nothing to do today except for house chores and watching Ugly Betty, The OC and some TV at home. Yesterday I was out for almost 16 hours yesterday, starting out the day in the morning in school playing the guitar "First Love", which Inez sang it beatuifully, for the Japanese exchange student program (we barely practiced for it, and I'm glad we pulled it off within such a short time), then to VE interview, and then class, after which went out after class to hang out with Shirley and gang, played some pool and reached home passed midnight. Wanted to watched a movie today but it turned out I wasn't allowed, as EXPECTED. -_-

First and foremost, welcome back ALAN!!! Long time no see.. =)

Woah! What a tiring day today!

Day started off going back to SFMS to help out for Chapel today, which was Singspiration. Didn't really prepared much for it because of complications from yesterday evening. So everything was kind of a mess just now. Had to add and remove some songs from the list, and co-ordination was not there. But I have to say we managed to pull it off, especially with the connections for Awesome God to How Great Is Our God and Deeply In Love and All For Love (notice the common similarity? haha!). For the first time I played the drums. It was so nerve-wrecking since I usually play guitar, NOT drums. Haha! Thank God I managed to pull it off. PHEW!

After that we went for lunch, after that off to Replublic Polytechnic's open house, and today was the last day. So after lunch at SFMS went straight down to Woodlands then to RP with Marcus, John, KC and his friend Terrence. Alan joined us shortly later along with Alice, who by the way is studying at RP also. Well, open house was kinda boring, except for the foosball. Haha! Didn't really get to look in depth into the courses offered there. Like as if I mind, since RP will be my last resort. Heeee!! After that went and walked around at Woodlands and we went for dinner at Causeway Point. Had a great chat with Alan and the rest. We've got soo much to talk about, I just wished we coulda stayed a little longer, but my back is KILLING me after standing and walking for so long with a heavy back of mine. I'm getting old. Haha!! ^_^

Today was a pretty interesting day. Went for another company to go look at their product again. Company's called Coslab, and it seems to be quite a recognised firm, and I kinda find their products and services more useful compared to the previou one I went.

Today was also Dr Lim's first lecture for the year after one month!! Haha! Woah! Too much of marketing stuff in my head.. Gotta change for a while. Well, he was suppose to turn up last week but because he got a dengue fever he had to stay at home. Thankfully he's OK now, and I'm happy he came back, 'cuz the class kinda miss his humorous lectures. Haha! Today's lesson was quite fun. Learnt about how our brain functions and how it's divided into 4 different parts. We watched CSI too! Heh! It's part of what we discussed about today's topic. I wish his lesson will be more frequent. Our class is soooooo gonna suffer this Sunday. By right we should have Dr Lim's class from morning to noon, and Dr Tan's after Dr Lim's class until 4 plus. But Dr Lim is going away for a business trip this Sunday, so Dr Tan has us for THE WHOLE DAY!! Oh boy.. I gotta prepare more coffee. I hope I don't fall asleep in the class. -_-

Anyways, past midnight now. Gotta go to bed! Nitez fellas! =)

First and foremost.......

HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR 2007 to everyone! Hope this year will be a good one for all of you. =)

Well, this is my FIRST post in 2007! I visited almost everyone's blog, and looks like I'm the only one who hasn't made a new post after such a long time. HAHA!! Hmm, new year was boring, I guess.. Went for a mini countdown at TPMC organised by the YF people, and it was fun. After that went to Orchard after the stroke of midnight. And I learnt a vital lesson after a few hours passed the new year: DON'T MISS THE LAST TRAIN AFTER A HIGE EVENT, ESPECIALLY NEW YEAR!! KC, Marcus and I couldn't find a cab until about 2 hours later. Singapore has about 7 taxi companies, and guess what, all the phone lines are engaged! (and that includes the limo cab lines.) We eventually found a cab just slightly before 3AM. We dropped off KC at Steven's Road, and I stayed over for the night at Marcus' place.

I agree, thank God new year only comes annually. Like, Do'OH!! But, it's true. =p

Anyways, this week I haven't really done anything much. Spent the first few days of public holidays slacking at home watching TV and MSN, and practicing on some guitar. It's been quite sometime since I last touched the guitar, and until now, I still don't know how to pluck. I suck! LOL!! Yesterday went all the way to NUS Extention at Park Mall for CIM course, only to find out 40 mins later that Dr Lim couldn't make it because of some problems. I went there to do NOTHING, and I wasted my transportation fee, 'cuz I'm on adult fare. -_- Today Marcus and I went to SP open house. Pretty big campus, and nice facilities too: Bowling allies, pool table, swimming pool, badminton & tennis courts, and more.. Sounds promising, compared to the school that I'm in, which doesn't even own it's own building. Hahahaha! OK, I'm mean. I'm still thinking of whether to go poly or continue with my studies at SMa? Hmm, I'm in a huge dilemma here. I'll let God do the work. =)

Well, just came back home, and I'm dead tired. Haven't been able to surf the net with peace now, 'cuz the Internet connection got affected by Taiwan's natural disaster, and download speeds is just like I'm using a 56K connection line. I hope it'll be rectified ASAP. Blog song's getting boring. Will change it soon once Internet connection's fixed. Fusion next week! =)
